Max B Claims Karl-Anthony Towns Said Knicks Have Been Winning 'Twofold' Since His Release

Max B is giving himself plenty of credit for New York's recent upswing, including the Knicks' rise during their run to the NBA Finals.

In a candid video, the Harlem rapper reflected on the impact he believes he's had on his city since being released from prison in November 2025 after serving nearly two decades behind bars. According to Max, his return sparked a morale boost across sports, music, and New York City culture.

"I did a plethora of things," Max said while listing off what he viewed as major changes following his release.

The rapper first pointed to his Nov. 9, 2025 release date, which coincided with French Montana's birthday. He then joked that one of his earliest accomplishments was helping his longtime favorite NFL team end a losing streak.

"We reported to the Jets facilities," Max said. "My bum-ass Jets got a win."

From there, he claimed his return helped revitalize New York's music scene.

"We changed the whole music culture back and put musical excellence back into the game," he said. "We brought the city back."

Max eventually shifted his attention to the Knicks, who have enjoyed one of their most successful stretches in recent memory.

"My New York motherf***ing Knickerbockers," he said before revealing a conversation he claims to have had with Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns.

According to Max, Towns personally credited him with helping fuel the team's success.

"Big Kat know me personally," Max said. "He said, 'Max Biggaveli, ever since you came out the Knicks been winning twofold.' Cause they was already lit, so we doubling down."

The rapper then shouted out several key members of New York's roster, including Towns, Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, and Josh Hart.

"Shout to Big Kat, shout to Big Body Brunson, shout to motherf***ing OG Juan, shout to Josh Hart, shout to the whole team," he said.

The timing of Max's comments has certainly been notable. Since Max B's release, New York has continued its resurgence behind Brunson and Towns, with the franchise reaching heights not seen in decades.
