Max B is once again setting the record straight, shutting down one of the wildest rumors tied to his name since coming home.

During an appearance on The Breakfast Club this week alongside French Montana, the Harlem rapper addressed the long-circulating claim that he was involved in a backstage fight with Ja Rule during Brandy and Monica’s tour stop in Brooklyn. And according to Max, the story isn’t just exaggerated, it’s completely false.

“I was like, ‘I love Ja Rule. What the hell y’all talking about?’” Max said while recalling the moment the rumor reached him. “Like Ja Rule my [...] like you know what I’m saying? So, no. Shout out to Ja Rule.”

French Montana also weighed in, joking that Max was confused by the drama when it was first brought to him.

“I remember him coming to the studio from the show,” French said. “I’m like, ‘What happened?’ He said, ‘Man, they tried to tap into my algorithm.’”

Max then described how far the gossip spread, claiming it even made its way back to his parole officer.

“My parole officer called me,” he said. “She said, ‘Where was you last night?’ I’m like, ‘I was at the concert.’ She was like, ‘Did y’all beat up Ja Rule?’ I said, ‘Absolutely not.’ I love Ja Rule. No way.”

Max also insisted his post-release appearances have been smooth with no drama, despite the internet constantly trying to attach chaos to his name.

“My club [appearances] been peaceful. They’ve been in harmony,” he said. “Everybody been having a good time like always. I never really was like, my club [appearances] never were fighting and none of that… yo it’s been wild.”

When Charlamagne Tha God asked how Max proves to his parole officer that he’s not involved in any shenanigans, Max said the key is staying transparent and consistent.

“I just stay consistent with you know my whereabouts, my locations and stuff like that. Just be honest with her,” he explained. “And she know I ain’t with that crazy stuff. Shout out to my PO. She cool. She’s very professional. She’s a good PO. I like my PO.”

The rumor Max is referring to originally popped off back in November 2025, after social media chatter claimed Ja Rule was involved in a physical altercation in Brooklyn around the same time as Brandy and Monica’s show at Barclays Center, where Max B was reportedly brought out as a special guest. A video circulating online appeared to show Ja Rule being restrained during a tense moment, leading many to speculate it happened backstage at the concert.

At the time, Max publicly distanced himself from the drama, posting on X: “Don’t tie me or my people to anything negative… we grown we on positive vibes only.”

Ja Rule also responded directly to the gossip. After blogger Tasha K claimed he got jumped, Ja accused her of lying while acknowledging that someone did try to run up on him, though he clarified it wasn’t where people were claiming, and said he was fine.
