Master P is mourning the loss of his longtime collaborator Young Bleed, who passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm earlier this week.

The No Limit Records founder honored the Baton Rouge rapper with a powerful A.I.-generated tribute that reimagines one of their most iconic moments in hip-hop history. In his tribute post, Master P shared an A.I.-enhanced version of Young Bleed’s 1998 debut album My Balls & My Word, a defining project in the No Limit legacy.

The original artwork depicted Bleed walking up golden stairs toward a mansion in the sky. In P’s reimagined version, the late rapper ascends through the clouds, symbolizing his final journey.

“We lost another soldier gone too soon,” Master P wrote in the caption. “@therealyoungbleed Rest in Paradise. Our prayers go out to his family.”

Young Bleed’s son, Tyree, confirmed his father’s passing on Monday, citing a sudden brain aneurysm as the cause of death. He also expressed gratitude to fans and peers for their support during the family’s time of grief. “Thank you all for the love,” he commented beneath P’s post.

Tributes poured in across the hip-hop community, with artists like E-40 and Bahamadia joining fans in honoring Bleed’s legacy. Known for his smooth Louisiana flow and storytelling, Bleed made a major impact on the South’s rap scene in the late ’90s, with My Balls & My Word producing his biggest hit, “How Ya Do Dat.”

Just days before his passing, Young Bleed shared the stage with Master P in Las Vegas during the No Limit vs. Cash Money Verzuz celebration at ComplexCon 2025, a full-circle moment for a rapper who helped define No Limit’s golden era. Master P’s digital tribute serves as both a nod to their shared history and a modern farewell to one of the label’s foundational voices.
