Jay-Z is extending his historic run at Yankee Stadium after overwhelming demand forced the addition of a third show.
The newly announced date, titled JAŸ-Z EXTRA INNINGS, is set for Sunday, July 12, giving fans another chance to catch the Brooklyn icon live after the first two performances sold out almost instantly.
Tickets for the newly added show are currently on sale through Live Nation.
The rush for tickets has been nothing short of chaotic. Reports indicate that well over a million fans flooded ticketing platforms simultaneously during the presale earlier this week, with queues stretching into the hundreds of thousands each night. Demand quickly spilled over into resale markets, where even some of the most basic seats have been listed at eye-popping prices in the thousands.
The original shows are built around milestone celebrations of Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint, marking 30 and 25 years since their respective releases. That nostalgia has clearly fueled interest, with fans leaning all the way into the moment.
Jay-Z has also leaned into the rollout, bringing back the umlaut styling of his name and revisiting archival elements from his catalog, adding to the sense that this is more than just a concert.
With the added EXTRA INNINGS date, Jay-Z continues to build on his legacy at Yankee Stadium, where he already holds the record for the most sold-out shows by any artist.
