Drake is officially joining the viral trend inspired by one of the biggest songs from his latest album.
The Toronto superstar recently appeared in a video from Turks and Caicos that shows him participating in the viral "Shabang" challenge that has taken over TikTok and other social media platforms in recent weeks.
In the clip, posted by TikTok user @zarianicole, Drake stands casually before a drink suddenly materializes in his hand via an edit timed to the song's beat. The video mirrors the format fans have been using while soundtracking their clips with "Shabang," one of the standout records from Iceman.
The trend is built around the song's opening bars, where Drake pays tribute to co-producer Maneesh Bidaye by rapping, "Maneesh on the beat, shabang," prompting users to make drinks, food, and other objects magically appear through quick edits and transitions.
Since emerging online, the challenge has spread rapidly across TikTok, with thousands of users putting their own spin on the concept. Celebrities have also gotten involved, including Summer Walker and Stunna Sandy, helping push the trend even further across social media.
The trend's popularity comes as "Shabang" continues to perform strongly on streaming services and the charts. The record currently sits at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has emerged as one of the most talked-about songs from Iceman.
Produced by Drake's longtime collaborator Noah "40" Shebib alongside Maneesh, the song also features ad-libs from Quavo and the late Takeoff. The record has earned praise from several artists, including Offset, who recently dubbed it the song of the summer.
The momentum has helped fuel a historic run for Drake. Iceman debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while companion projects Habibti and Maid of Honour followed close behind. The album also produced multiple Hot 100 entries and helped Drake surpass Michael Jackson for the most No. 1 songs by a male solo artist.
