Drake has listeners dissecting one of the most replayed lines from Iceman, with fans online arguing that the rapper may have delivered a sextuple entendre through layered duck-and-money wordplay.

On the track titled "Make Them Remember," Drake repeats the line: "I'm down to put bills on they face, no wonder they've been ducking Drake."

After delivering the lyric, Drake pauses and lets out an audible "ahhh," a moment many listeners interpreted as him intentionally drawing attention to the bar's multiple meanings.

The line immediately sparked debate across social media, where fans began breaking down the possible references embedded in the lyric.

Fans Break Down Drake's "Duck" and "Bills" Wordplay

According to a fan on Reddit, one interpretation centers around "put bills on they face" as a reference to flexing or throwing cash toward rivals. Others viewed it as a darker double meaning, referencing putting money on someone's head.

Meanwhile, "ducking Drake" was widely interpreted as artists avoiding confrontation with the Toronto rapper following his high-profile rap battles over the last two years.

But fans didn't stop there.

Many listeners also connected the line to actual duck anatomy, noting that ducks literally have "bills" on their faces. Because a male duck is also called a "drake," some fans argued the lyric becomes an extended animal-themed entendre built around ducks avoiding another drake.

Others went even deeper, connecting the bar to NFL references involving the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

Fans Also Point to Kendrick Lamar’s Last Name: Duckworth

Another layer that a fan quickly highlighted online involved Kendrick Lamar’s legal last name: Duckworth.

Because Kendrick’s surname already contains “duck,” some believe Drake intentionally crafted the line to subtly reference his rival while continuing the ongoing lyrical tension between the two artists.

That theory gained even more traction because Iceman includes multiple bars that fans interpret as shots toward Kendrick’s image, fanbase, and public persona.

Combined with the “ducking Drake” phrasing, many listeners now believe the line was specifically engineered to work both as general wordplay and as a targeted Kendrick reference simultaneously.

Drake's "Down" Reference Adds More Fuel

Additional fan theories emerged after listeners pointed to another line from the song referencing feather down, which refers to the soft insulating underlayer found beneath duck or goose feathers.

That detail led some fans to believe Drake intentionally built an entire scheme around bird, duck, and "drake" imagery.

The layered lyricism has become one of the biggest talking points surrounding Iceman, an album already packed with subliminals, celebrity cameos, and references that fans continue to decode.

ICEMAN Rollout Filled With Hidden References

Drake's ICEMAN rollout leaned heavily into mystery and internet-driven discussion before the album even arrived. Through multiple livestream episodes, Drake previewed cinematic visuals, cryptic skits, and snippets that quickly spread across social media.

The project featured appearances from comedian Shane Gillis, Drake's son Adonis, and Toronto rapper and influencer Chromazz.
