BTS have returned to the top of the charts in a major way, as ARIRANG debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking the group's seventh chart-topping album.
The project opened with 641,000 equivalent album units in its first week, delivering one of the biggest debuts in recent memory, especially for a group. A significant portion of that total came from traditional album purchases, with more than half a million copies sold across physical and digital formats, marking BTS's strongest sales week to date.
Streaming also played a major role in the album's launch. Tracks from ARIRANG generated nearly 100 million on-demand streams in its opening week, further cementing the group's global reach and consistent chart dominance.
The release continues BTS's streak of No. 1 albums, following previous chart-toppers including Proof, BE, and entries from their Map of the Soul and Love Yourself series.
The album's commercial performance was driven in part by its expansive rollout. ARIRANG was released in multiple physical editions, including a wide range of vinyl and CD variants packaged with collectible items, helping fuel strong first-week demand.
The group also supported the release with a global push, including a Netflix concert special tied to the album, live television performances, and the debut of the lead single "SWIM," which dropped alongside the project.
BTS is set to carry that momentum into their upcoming world tour, which kicks off in South Korea in April before heading to North America later in the month.
