Cardi B’s boyfriend and future baby father, Stefon Diggs, is at the center of a new paternity dispute.

A day after the couple's pregnancy announcement, news broke that Diggs was facing a legal battle with Aileen Lopera — a West Coast model known as Lord Gisselle.

According to legal documents reviewed by Complex, Lopera filed a November 2024 petition to establish the paternity of her then-unborn child. The petitioner identified Diggs as the father and requested that the NFL athlete cover all her pregnancy/birth expenses as well as her attorney’s fees. Lopera also requested sole legal and physical custody of her daughter, but would give Diggs visitation.

Diggs — who has an 8-year-old daughter, Nova, from a previous relationship — filed a response in mid-July, about three months after Lopera gave birth to the baby in question. Legal documents list the child’s name as Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera; however, Diggs indicated he wasn’t certain the infant was his.

The New England wide receiver has requested a genetic test to confirm he is Charlie’s biological father. If Diggs’ paternity is established, he wants joint custody of the child. He’s also seeking "joint payment of reasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth and attorney’s fees and costs."

It’s unclear at time of press if the parties have completed the genetic tests.

Lopera’s attorney did not immediately respond to Complex’s request for comment.

Diggs is gearing up to welcome his first child with Cardi B. The Bronx rapper — who shares three children with her estranged husband, Offset — confirmed her pregnancy during a recent sit-down with CBS MorningsGayle King, explaining why she didn’t rush to tell the world she was expecting.

"I just was like, 'Can I just say it on my own time?' Like, I’m not hiding," she said. "On my time, on my own terms. Let me close some deals first, you know what I’m saying? Let me close some deals first. And it’s like, you don’t really want to say right away that you’re pregnant," she added. "It’s like, 'Let me see a couple of more sonograms. Let my baby be healthy.'"
