Offset Says Cardi B’s Upcoming Album Is ‘Hard’: ‘She’s Gonna Do Her Big One’

Despite their ongoing divorce proceedings, Offset says he wants 'peace' with his ex and for them 'to win.'

Offset is showing his support for ex Cardi B as she gears up to release her new album.

On Tuesday (Sept. 9), the 33-year-old rapper was spotted outside of LAX where he briefly spoke with a TMZ photographer about his new album, Kiari, and Cardi’s upcoming sophomore effort, Am I the Drama?

“Are your kids gonna have both their parents nominated for Album of the Year?” asked the photographer, as seen in the video linked here.

“For sure,” Offset responded.

“You guys gonna go up against each other maybe?” the TMZ rep said.

“No, no, no,” Offset said without missing a beat. “I just want all peace, man, for us to win, everybody gotta win. We got kids to take care of, we got to catch the dubs.”

When asked if he would support Cardi’s album, Offset didn’t hold back.

“For sure,” he answered. “That shit hard, she’s gonna do her big one, too.”

While speaking about his album Kiari, which dropped last month and debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 chart, the Migos alum described it as his “best solo work” so far and explained that it carried deep meaning.

“It was an album that meant a lot to me—after my name, you know what I mean? Just me being personal, me being vulnerable, about life, and people like it … and that’s a blessing, man,” he told TMZ.

Offset’s support came as Cardi B also made headlines while opening up to Billboard about her relationship with New England Patriots wide receiver, Stefon Diggs.

The “Outside” rapper admitted going public with Diggs was difficult, saying, “It was very tough, but it is what it is. It’s tough hiding. It’s tough dating in your 30s, too, but I like him. I love him, today. I was always scared of dating people [because] I’ve always been in a long relationship since I was like 21.”

When asked about the chance of a “lasting friendship” with Offset, whom she married in 2017 and filed for divorce from last July, Cardi gave a short response: “I tried. Next question.”

The couple share three children. Their first daughter, Kulture, was born in 2018, followed by their son, Wave, in September 2021. The pair welcomed their youngest, Blossom, last September.

Cardi B’s Am I the Drama? drops on September 19.
