Fivio Foreign has urged his fans to ease up on Alicia Keys after she did not bring him out for her performance at City Hall following the New York Knicks championship parade.

In a post taken to X on Thursday (June 18), the Brooklyn rapper conceded Keys “should not have brought me out” and offered praise to the legendary singer.

“No Alicia Keys should not have brought me out she did a beautiful job with her set she got a beautiful career and beautiful family,” he wrote.

“So stop the negative comments,” Fivio added. “Alicia been blessing the world with her voice since I was a kid.”

Keys and the artist formerly known as Kanye West collaborated with Fivio on “City of Gods,” an ode to New York off his 2022 debut album B.I.B.L.E.

Prior to Keys announcing that she would be performing her 2009 Jay-Z collaboration "Empire State of Mind" at the Knicks’ championship parade, Fivio was adamant that he “better be” taking the stage during the ceremony.

As for the other artists who showed their Knicks allegiance during the team’s historic run, Cardi B and Wu-Tang Clan performed at halftime in Game 3 and 4, respectively, of the 2026 NBA Finals. Fat Joe, who is regularly seen sitting courtside, attended the parade and performed “Lean Back” with Remy Ma. Ja Rule was also in attendance and delivered a performance of “New York.”

Jadakiss, Havoc and A Boogie were also seen on a parade float.
