Wu-Tang Clan is bringing the NBA Finals to their native Staten Island.
The legendary hip-hop collective is scheduled to perform during halftime of Game 4 between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurson Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden, adding another major New York moment to a Finals run that has already captivated the city.
The appearance comes with the Knicks holding a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series after splitting the first three games against San Antonio.
Wu-Tang's performance arrives while the group is in the middle of its farewell tour, Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber. The iconic crew, which includes RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna, is currently on a break before resuming the tour later this summer.
The group recently completed international dates across Europe, Oceania, and Japan and is scheduled to return to North America in August. Their final show is set for October in Phoenix.
The halftime performance also comes during a milestone year for the group. Following the conclusion of their farewell tour, Wu-Tang Clan will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November, further cementing their legacy as one of the most influential acts in hip-hop history. Since emerging from Staten Island in the early 1990s, the collective has helped shape the sound of rap music while launching the successful solo careers of multiple members.
Their impact on the culture continues to be celebrated decades later. Earlier this year, Complex revisited the group's extensive catalog by ranking the 20 greatest Wu-Tang-related albums, spotlighting classic releases from the collective as well as acclaimed solo projects from artists such as Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, GZA, and Method Man.
The halftime performance continues a trend of star-studded entertainment throughout the Finals. During Game 3 at MSG, Cardi B energized the crowd with a performance featuring some of her biggest hits.
The Knicks' return to the NBA Finals for the first time in nearly three decades has also turned Madison Square Garden into a magnet for celebrities. Over the first three games of the series, courtside seats have been filled with notable names, including Jay-Z, Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, Timothée Chalamet, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, and more. Even political figures have made appearances, including President Donald Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
The Knicks are seeking to take a commanding 3-1 series lead before the Finals shift back to San Antonio for Game 5.
