Young Thug went to a hometown jeweler to surprise his new fiancée and fellow Atlanta native, Mariah the Scientist.
On Wednesday (Dec. 17), one day after the UY Scuti rapper successfully proposed to his girlfriend of four years, Atlanta jewelry shop Jewelry Unlimited gave a closer look at the engagement ring on Instagram.
The massive ring has a large pink diamond center and a silver band embedded with diamonds.
Thugger kept it local for his proposal to the Hearts Sold Separately artist by proposing to Mariah during his benefit concert in Atlanta on Tuesday.
The stage's jumbotron read "Will you marry me?" as Mariah urged Thug to "Put it on!" when he pulled out the ring.
The proposal comes just days after the "Burning Blue" artist shared her desire for marriage during an interview with Angie Martinez.
"I want to be married," Mariah said, adding, "I can't speak for everybody but that's what I'm doing."
"I just want a commitment that doesn't involve an obligation to a baby," Mariah continued. "I just want it to be out of love, not out of responsibility."
The R&B artist and Thug first linked on song "Walked In," which was featured on Mariah's 2021 album RY RY WORLD. While the couple has faced their share of ups and downs, Mariah held down her now-fiancé throughout his RICO trial until he was released last November after spending over two years behind bars.
During an interview with Complex editor-in-chief and Please Explain host Aria Hughes earlier this year, Mariah explained that Thug used to be a "player" but has improved since they've gotten serious.
"But I love him down. And we have worked through some things, you know, we have really... it has taken a lot to come to a place of just like fully understanding what each other wants as individuals," she continued. "Like, if you love somebody, you compromise on some things, but at the same time, they compromise for things for you."
