Tameka Foster, the ex-wife of R&B vocalist Usher, was seen being arrested for failure to appear in court in newly surfaced body cam footage.
According to TMZ, Foster, who shares two teenage sons with Usher, was booked one year after getting a ticket for driving without car insurance. Foster then purchased insurance for the vehicle, but didn’t show up in court to present proof to a judge.
This led to a warrant being issued against the former Bold & Bougie star, and upon a return flight to Georgia from St. Barths, she was arrested by Brookhaven Police on January 5.
The body cam video shows a police officer allowing the designer and celebrity stylist to make a phone call and apologizing if she felt as though she was treated “unfair.”
“I mean, if I were acting belligerent or something, I’d understand,” Foster said about the officer having cuffs on hand.
Foster also joked with the officer, who offered to unlock her phone with a passcode and swore that he wasn’t trying to snoop. The designer also called her mother before trying to rectify the payment with the officer.
“This is the craziest out-of-body shit I’ve ever experienced,” Foster said. “The sad part is, I got pulled over for nothing. I don’t even have a speeding ticket.”
Foster also shared that it has been four days since her 55th birthday and pleaded with the officer not to tell anyone about the arrest.
Foster and Usher were married from 2007 to 2009 and share sons Usher “Cinco” Raymond V, 18, and Naviyd Ely, 17.
