Usher was on dad duty this week while attending a PinkPantheress show with his second-oldest son, Nayvid.
On Thursday (Nov. 6), Nayvid took the stage to dance with the first-time Grammy nominee and her dancers during a segment of the tour, titled An Evening With PinkPantheress. The moment occurred nearly two years after Nayvid sent the British artist an Instagram message to collaborate with his father.
Elsewhere during the show, a camera scanned the crowd before landing on Usher, who wore ink on his palms that read, "My son dragged me here," and looked hilariously confused.
The R&B legend's moment was similar to when now-New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani campaigned during a PinkPantheress concert in New York City last month.
"Our time has come. Vote Nov 4," read the message written on Mamdani's hands.
Last April, Usher shared on his Instagram Stories that Nayvid, who turns 17 next month, used his account to DM PinkPantheress for a follow back.
Usher apologized to PinkPantheress for his son's excitement but commended the teenager for his "dedication and creativity."
At the L.A. show, Usher, Nayvid and PinkPantheress connected backstage, as seen in the TikTok below. It was Nayvid's second time meeting the Fancy That artist.
