PlaqueBoyMax has cleared the air on his brief misunderstanding with Drake and hopes to work with the rapper-singer someday.
The popular streamer was a guest on the Monday (May 11) episode of Carmelo Anthony’s 7 PM In Brooklyn podcast and discussed his excitement around the rollout of Drake’s upcoming LP, Iceman. In the clip below, Max called Drake’s rollout of his 9th solo studio album among “the best” he’s seen because the 5-time Grammy winner joined the livestream world to promote.
“He knows what he's doing, or he's aware at least of what's going on,” Max said. “I don't know if that's his team or him, but involving the streamers and involving the kids and making them part of the rollout, I haven’t seen something like that.”
Max also recalled a Drake and Adin Ross livestream, where Max misinterpreted the rapper as shading his “In the Booth” stream with D Savage.
“He was saying good things, but the way he said it, I thought he was on some condescending, like, ‘This little streamer…’” Max recalled.
“There are many people because this is new that will try to downplay streaming or downplay what we're doing,” he continued, adding that he didn’t mean to offend Drizzy.
The streamer also called out some of Drake’s “dickriding” fans, who commented that Max should have been appreciative of the rapper’s mention.
The rapper eventually DM’d Max, who said that things were “all good” between them and that he’s “never had a problem” with Drake.
Elsewhere on the podcast, Max discussed being listed on Complex’s 2026 Hip-Hop Power Ranking.
Since starting his Iceman livestreams last year, Drake has most recently shot a music video in Toronto this past week, which included a flatbed truck topped by blocks of ice. Iceman is slated to drop on Friday, May 15.
