Nicki Minaj has officially given the Barbz a heads-up as to when her sixth album will drop.

Less than a year after wrapping the Pink Friday 2 World Tour, on Tuesday (September 23), the rapper went to X to announce March, 27 2026, as the release date for her next album.

The message received praise from the Barbz, and reactions from those who speculated that Minaj was stealing attention from Cardi B, who released her sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, on September 19.

"and when the world needed u most... u APPEARED," one fan tweeted.

"You seen the state of female rap and decided to do what you do best , SAVE IT 😩," another person wrote.

In December 2023, Minaj released Pink Friday 2, the follow-up to her 2018 album Queen. The LP, which features Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Drake, Lil Uzi Vert and more, debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 228,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week. Singles from the album include "Super Freaky Girl," "Everybody" and "Red Ruby da Sleeze."
