Nicki Minaj and Dez Bryant are on good terms again after their spat over whether Bryant would fight her husband, Kenneth Petty.
On Saturday, (Aug. 9), Bryant tagged Minaj on X with an apology for their recent back-and-forth.
“On some G shit. @NICKIMINAJ, I really don’t like the misunderstanding we had between each other," Bryant wrote. "I apologize for bringing up your husband’s past. It’s a shame only negative things make headlines between two black people who have much influence on our community.”
“I’m at war every day with myself to better myself for my kids and the kids who are watching me, and the last thing I wanna do is argue over stupid shit. I pray for only peace and positivity your way,” he added.
Nicki accepted the apology but kept the offer for the brawl on the table.
“The Lord will grant you peace, Dez,” she wrote. “Nothing makes me respect someone more, than a public display of accountability. I accept your apology. I apologize as well — if I offended you. If you still wanna do that fight, lmk. He def got them hands.”
Their reconciliation comes days after it seemed like Bryant would be preparing to put the beats on Petty.
The argument started when Nicki jumped into Bryant’s rant against Jerry Jones on X. Since the situation seemingly involved Jay-Z’s Roc Nation sports, Nicki, who claims that Roc Nation and Jay-Z owe her money after selling Tidal in 2021, hopped into the discussion.
“Hey, its Nicki Minaj,” she wrote, responding to Bryant’s tweet. “How about we play a game? Every time you do a ‘Jerry Jones' or ‘NFL’ story time, I’ll do a ‘story time’ of my own.”
The two became at odds, leading to Nicki offering Bryant a huge sum of money to fight her husband.
“I’ll give you 10 million in cash if you’d come & fight him since you BEAT UR OWN MOM,” she alleged.
“I’ve been lied on my whole career so I’m not trying to hear all of that shit..I thought we was speaking facts.. I don’t play all of that funny shit… go get that 10 million in cash," Bryant responded. "I’ll stomp that n***a out right in front of you.. and it’s ROC for life bitch.”
