Lizzo and Sexyy Red turned the heat up on the first day of this year’s Coachella with a "Hoechella" style performance.
On Friday night (April 10), Sexyy performed on the Sahara Stage, where Lizzo joined her to perform "Yitty On Yo Tittys (Freestyle)" from her 2025 mixtape My Face Hurts From Smiling. The four-time Grammy winner also pulled out her signature flute during the performance and twerked on a life-sized version of viral collectible toy, Labubu.
The stage was turned into "Club Sexyy" during the rapper’s set, where she pulled out bangers like "Shake Yo Dreads," "Pound Town" and also brought out her "Guilt Trippin" collaborator Central Cee.
Lizzo brought fans along to Coachella Valley by posting videos of herself boarding a private jet borrowed from friend and socialite Paris Hilton. "HOECHELLA HAS BEGUN," Lizzo captioned a reel showing her boarding the jet while wearing a sheer thong and black chaps.
Following the performance with Sexyy, Lizzo headed to 818 Outpost to hang out with Kaytranada during his DJ set.
Lizzo, who’s last studio album was 2022’s Special, has slowly unveiled her upcoming LP, Love in Real Life, over the last year with singles "Still Bad" and the album’s titular track.
The pop musician was named in a 2023 lawsuit filed by three of her former backup dancers, who alleged sexual harassment and workplace hostility. In December, the accusations of fat-shaming were dropped from the suit, while claims of sexual harassment, false imprisonment and overseeing a hostile work environment remain active.
Weekend 1 of this year’s Coachella continues on Saturday (April 11) with sets from headliner Justin Bieber, Addison Rae, Labrinth, BIA, Davido and more before ending on on Sunday (April 12) with additional acts and closing headliner Karol G.
