Lil Nas X has assured fans that he'll be "alright" after being arrested last week in Los Angeles.

The "Light Again" artist racked up four felony charges after strolling the downtown L.A. streets naked last week and allegedly assaulting a police officer. The artist, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was booked in jail over the weekend and released on Monday (August 25).

"Your girl is going to be okay y’all… ok. She’s going to be alright. Shit," Lil Nas X said in an Instagram Story following his release. "That was fucking terrifying. That was terrifying. That was a terrifying last four days, but your girl is going to be alright."

Last Thursday (August 21), the 26-year-old artist was reportedly seen walking on Ventura Boulevard in his underwear and cowboy boots around 4 a.m. and approached a passerby who recorded him. Lil Nas X acted erratically during the incident and was even filmed reciting Nicki Minaj's "Monster" verse while completely naked. Surveillance video from earlier in the evening showed the rapper wandering while shirtless around Short Stories Hotel.

Before he was booked and charged with a misdemeanor for alleged police battery, Lil Nas X was taken to an area hospital, where he was evaluated for a potential overdose. While the rapper was in jail, a thief took advantage of his cowboy boots being left at the scene and auctioned them on eBay for $10,000.

As of Monday, Lil Nas X has posted $75,000 bail but was given four felony charges, including three of battery with injury on a police officer and resisting an executive officer. With each count carrying a maximum of three years in prison (or probation for resistance), the rapper faces a sentence of up to twelve years.
