Lil Nas X will remain behind bars over the weekend until his bail hearing next week for alleged battery on a peace officer.

TMZ reports that he’ll have to go before a judge to get his bail set, which won’t happen until Monday, at least, because of other people in front of him in line. The rapper is currently in jail in Van Nuys, according to LA County Sheriff's Department records viewed by Complex.

The reason Lil Nas X can’t be given a citation and released, which usually happens for misdemeanors, is that this wasn’t a nonviolent offense.

On Aug. 21, footage surfaced of Lil Nas X walking around Ventura Blvd at night in Los Angeles, wearing nothing but cowboy boots and underwear. In the bizarre clip, the rapper was singing and told the person recording him to go to a party. He then placed a traffic cone on his head.

TMZ reported that multiple calls were made to the Los Angeles Police Department to report a possible drug overdose.

In surveillance footage from Aug. 20 around 1:30 p.m. PT, which was almost 15 hours before his arrest, Lil Nas X was spotted walking aimlessly around the Short Stories Hotel in Hollywood, wearing the same outfit.

This isn’t the first concerning moment of the year for Lil Nas X. In April, he revealed that he’d been hospitalized because of facial paralysis. In a clip shared on his Instagram Story, he tried to smile but couldn’t move the right side of his face.

“This is me doing a full smile right now, by the way,” he said. “I can’t even laugh right, bro, what the fuck?”

In a separate post, he dismissed fans' concerns and assured everyone that he was fine. “Guys, I am ok!! Stop being sad for me! Shake ur ass for me instead!” he wrote.
