Jessie Reyez celebrated her 35th birthday with some help from fellow Toronto native Drake.
On Saturday (June 12), the pop vocalist turned 35, performed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Opening Match alongside Elyanna in Toronto, and released her fourth studio album, A Little Vengeance. Reyez followed the festivities by linking up with Drake, who last month released three albums: Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibiti.
“If u told me id be celebrating my birthday/album drop while tik toking on the tip of the CN tower with @Drake .. I’d smile and say chruuuu 🇨🇦🥰🥰 IM HOME THIS SUMMERRRRRRR BABYYYY,” Reyez captioned the post on Wednesday (June 18).
Reyez also celebrated her homecoming with an Instagram carousel showing her posing with Drizzy, Elyanna, producer Boi-1da, and more family and friends.
Although Reyez and Drake have yet to collaborate on a track, the “Shabang” artist once called Reyez a “national treasure” while commentating at a 2024 game between the Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors.
At the World Cup Opening Match, Reyez performed alongside Elyanna, delivering their collaborative anthem "Illuminate." Reyez also contributed "I DARE YOU (TASTY),” produced by Boi-1da, to the 18-track official World Cup album, which features 21 Savage, Davido, Shakira, and more international artists.
A Little Vengeance spans 17 tracks and includes both veteran and newcomers in R&B and hip-hop, like D Smoke, Ty Dolla $ign, and Lekan. The release follows Reyez’s 2025 album, Paid in Memories, which is available on CD and vinyl from Complex Shop.
