Jack Harlow couldn’t help but step out in another oversized newsboy cap while attending the 2026 Met Gala.
The Monica artist attended fashion’s biggest night on Monday (May 4) in New York City and added another hat to his collection while wearing a puffy black tuxedo and silver brooch.
Harlow also wore a hat on the cover of his latest album, which resembles the slouchy olive hat seen in his “Say Hello” music video.
After he was trolled for being a first-time neo-soul crooner and declaring that his motivation was to “sound Blacker,” he gave his “Say Hello” hat the meme treatment last month.
“I have NEVER seen a hat like this in all my natural life,” tweeted actor and comedian Kevin Fredericks.
The hat is designed by Australian brand Monphell, which also carries wool and tartan cotton high hats.
Harlow explained that his new headwear was inspired by the direction of Monica on an episode of The New York Times’ Popcast in March.
“You're making this music and you got mirrors in your house and you think about what you're doing and you put something on and it feels right,” he said around the 32-minute mark of the video below.
We’re destined to see more of Harlow’s big hats as he embarks on his 17-city Monica Tour in August. Tickets for the trek, which hits Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and more, are available now.
