Britney Spears returned her Instagram following a temporarily deactivation amid her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, releasing a memoir.
The pop icon marked her account reactivation with a post on Friday (Nov. 7) recounting that "so much has happened this year, it's crazy." Last month, Federline, who shares two sons with Spears, released his debut memoir, You Thought You Knew, and accused his former wife of cheating and abusing drugs after childbirth. The ex-spouses were married from 2004 to 2007.
In her Instagram post was a photo, possibly taken from a video Spears filmed of herself dancing in lingerie.
"I try to live within my means and the book, ‘Draw the Circle’ is an incredible perspective. Get your ballerina 🩰, circle, and own your boundaries," Spears captioned the post. "It’s incredibly strict and somewhat of a form of prayer but with so many endless possibilities in life, it’s important to do you and keep it simple."
She concluded, "I know there is a confusing side too. The devil is in the details but we can get to that later 😳😂🤧"
The vocalist deactivated her Instagram shortly after claiming in a post that she had "suffered brain damage," and comparing herself to the titular character of the 2014 Disney film Maleficent. Spears also denounced Federline's memoir, calling it "hurtful" and accusing him of "constant gaslighting."
The Grammy winner insisted that she wanted to rebuild her relationship with sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 18, both of whom lived under the primary custody of Federline throughout the majority of their childhood. On occasion, Spears posts videos of her spending time with Jayden, and she's presumably still estranged from her older son.
