An alleged Nicki Minaj Facebook post from 2018 has resurfaced — and its causing quite a stir online.

The Pink Friday 2 rapper, who was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago before relocating to Queens at five years old, has been advocating for President Donald Trump over the past few months despite his ICE crackdowns on undocumented immigrants. But in 2018, according to TMZ, Minaj allegedly had a different perspective and empathized with immigrant children that were being separated from their families.

"I came to this country as an illegal immigrant @ 5 years old. I can’t imagine the horror of being in a strange place & having my parents stripped away from me at the age of 5," Minaj allegedly wrote at the time. "This is so scary to me. Please stop this. Can you try to imagine the terror & panic these kids feel right now?" Ebony reported on the post at the time it was allegedly published.

The post would have been made midway through Trump's first term as president before he was replaced two years later by 46th U.S. President Joe Biden.

Days before, the rapper went on a tirade against news anchor Don Lemon in his coverage of ICE protests in Minnesota. In response, Lemon said that Minaj "should be deported" considering that she wasn't born in the states.

In the last month, Minaj has seemingly positioned herself as a conservative figure by championing President Trump on social media and public speaking engagements, most recently at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest.

On January 28, the "Moment 4 Life" rapper will be a guest speaker at the Trump Accounts Summit, intended to encourage parents to sign up for a new retirement account for their children.

"Early financial literacy & financial support for our children will give them a major head start in life," Minaj posted on X alongside the announcement. "In some cases, they will end up teaching their very own parents how to invest & what to invest in."
