Multiple people have been arrested in connection with the Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio’s death.
WFLA reports that the Tampa police arrested three people in Jacksonville and charged them with premeditated first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder after the fatal shooting.
Authorities apprehended 18-year-old Sean Gathright, 21-year-old Alicia Andrews, and 21-year-old Isaiah Chance Jr. on Monday. Police are still looking for 27-year-old Davion Murphy and 30-year-old Rashad Murphy, both of whom have warrants out for their arrest.
Julio Foolio was celebrating his 26th birthday on June 23, when he was killed at a Holiday Inn in Tampa. According to the outlet, police think that when Julio got kicked out of his Airbnb, he tried to get a room at the hotel.
The suspects belong to a rival Jacksonville gang that was planning on murdering Julio in Tampa. The rapper shared his location online several times before the shooting, and it’s believed that they trailed him throughout the night before making their move at the hotel.
The incident left three others wounded, though their injuries were not fatal.
