Drake Says 'Honestly, Nevermind' Is One of His Favorite Albums 'Because Nobody Believed'

Drizzy also named 2013's 'Nothing Was the Same' as one of his favorites.

For an artist, coosing a favorite album must be like a parent choosing a favortie child. But that didn't stop Adin Ross from putting Drake in just that position.

During his gambling stream with the Ross, at around the 59:00 minute mark of the video above, Drake definitively said that Nothing Was the Same is his favorite album, then also named Honestly, Nevermind because “nobody believed.”

“I don’t wanna downplay any album. Every album is just like turning the page,” the 6 God explained. “It’s not gonna be what it was in Chapter II, you know? Maybe don’t think of it like that. Maybe think of it like…it’s not gonna be what it was like when you first met Harry Potter.”

Drake released Nothing Was the Same in 2013, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hit songs “Hold On, We're Going Home,” and “Worst Behavior” among others. The album also boasted a few features from heavyweights, including Jay-Z, Sampha, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean.

Drizzy released Honestly, Nevermind in 2022, and it was quite a departure from his sound, inspired by House, Baltimore club, Jersey club, and techno. The album opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and its most prominent rap song, the 21 Savage-featuring track, “Jimmy Cooks” also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
