Snoop Dogg took to the stage at the 2026 Golden Globes on Sunday (Jan. 11), and at one point, he was censored, leaving viewers at home wondering what he said.

Snoop presented the inaugural Best Podcast award at the ceremony on Sunday, with “Drop It Like It’s Hot” playing as he walked to the stage.

“Stop the music!” he said. “I need y’all to loosen up a bit. This is the double-G’s, the double-G’s, it’s the Golden Globes, and you’re with the D-O-double-G. So make sure you enjoy yourself, don’t be no stiff biff! Move around a little bit.”

The 54-year-old rapper said the Best Podcast award was a “very important category” for him, because “before podcasts, I was what y’all would listen to driving around in your cars.” He also cautioned other podcasters that if he got into the industry, it could be trouble for them.

When reading the winner, he was censored during the broadcast.

“I’m high as a motherfucker right now,” he said in a moment that no one at home heard, per a report from Entertainment Weekly. “Y’all had me here too damn long.”

The award ultimately went to Amy Poehler for her Good Hang podcast, which meant she beat out her former husband Will Arnett, who received a nomination for his SmartLess podcast.

“Wow, this is exactly how I pictured it: Snoop giving me the award,” she joked when accepting the award.

It wasn’t just Snoop Dogg who was censored during the broadcast of the Golden Globes. Teyana Taylor won the Best Supporting Actress honor for her role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s awards season juggernaut, One Battle After Another.

“Oh my God, this shit is heavy,” she remarked when she received the award.
