Snoop Dogg provided commentary during the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers game on Monday (Jan. 5), and his unique style of talk was especially hilarious when Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was ejected from the game for two technical fouls.

During the fourth quarter of the game, which the Warriors narrowly lost 102-103, Steph Curry was given a foul that resulted in a two point deduction. In response, Kerr kicked off and was given a technical foul. When John Collins blocked a layup from Gary Paton II, which many observers thought should have been a goaltend because replays appeared to show Collins touch the ball after it hit the backboard, Kerr became animated and yelled at the officials as he was being restrained by assistant coaches.

“Uh oh! Steve gonna get thrown out!” Snoop said while reacting to the moment. “Get him out of there! Get him out of there! Back him up! Steve bangin' Inglewood right now, Inglewood! Get him, Steve! The Arizona wildcat done came out, look at him!”

Ultimately, the move that got Kerr irate was, in fact, a missed call.

“It should have been ruled a goaltending violation,” said crew chief Brian Forte following the game, per ESPN. Many of the Warriors players, including Curry and Jimmy Butler, supported Kerr’s decision to complain about the missed call. Kerr did not appear in front of reporters after the game, and instead, lead assistant Terry Stotts took questions.

“I’m up here because I'm saving Steve some money,” Stotts joked.

Snoop Dogg also joined Terry Gannon for a chat with Kawhi Leonard after the game to discuss the Clippers’ victory. Leonard reflected on how he’s been settling into a “different role” for the team.

“I’m still getting used to it,” he said. “We got a veteran team, everybody’s been through their ups and downs throughout their career. We’re able to step in when the time is ready for us and execute.”
