N.O.R.E. Recalls Kodak Black Bringing His Mother’s Food to a High-End Steakhouse

When questioned about his decision to bring outside food to the establishment, Kodak allegedly said his mother’s food was “way better.”

In an appearance on the Brilliant Idiots podcast with Andrew Schulz and Charlamagne Tha God, rapper and Drink Champs host N.O.R.E. recalled the time he questioned why Kodak Black was bringing his own food to a high-end steakhouse.

At around the 1:49:30 point of the podcast, which can be seen in full above, N.O.R.E. was talking about rappers with personalities when Kodak Black's name was brought up. "I got critique for Kodak Black... Let me tell you something, Kodak Black," he said. "I'll accept you back any day of the week. I love Kodak Black. ... I went to Prime 112 with Kevin Liles and Mike Kyser. Kodak Black walked—this is a prestigious establishment—he walked in there with his own food."

N.O.R.E. said he's "never seen" anything like that before. "He had a Haitian plate," he continued. "I looked and I was like, 'This is either the most disrespectful or the most flyest shit I've ever saw.' ... I looked and I was like, 'Yo Kodak, you're not going to eat in Prime 112?' He's like, 'This my mama food. My mama food way better than this shit.'"

Charlamagne asked why Kodak bothered to come to Prime 112, a high-end restaurant, if he wasn't even going to eat the food. "'Cause he's a gangster," N.O.R.E. laughed. "We have to protect Kodak Black. The same way we had signs to protect DMX, and I did my part, but we... I don't mean like, be worried about him. I'm saying, yo, the culture has to stand behind him. This is a different individual, right?"

He maintained that Kodak Black is a "real one," and it's clear that he takes care of his team and his community. "They love him there," he said. "I know him and I know who he is, but I also know how great he can actually be."

N.O.R.E.'s story comes not long after fans expressed concern for Kodak once again after a video circulated online showing him drinking what many assumed to be lean. His attorney later responded to the speculation online and clarified that it's not promethazine and was actually just juice.
