Michael Beasley Says Kodak Black Is Better Than Kendrick Lamar: 'Ain't Nobody Playing That Sh*t'

In a clip from the BIG3's 3s and Ones podcast, Michael Beasley shared that he thinks Kodak Black is a better artist than Kendrick Lamar.

In the clip, which can be seen below, Beasley was joined by NBA reporter Chris Haynes and Demario 'Symba' Driver and put forth his case that Kodak is the superior rapper. "Man, I think Kodak better than Kendrick," he said, which was met with wild reactions from the other two. "A new cadence every time... Been on the charts every year."

Symba, who doesn't have the NBA experience that Beasley does, said that suggesting Kodak is better than Kendrick would be like him saying he's better at basketball. "No, it's not like that," Beasley replied. "That's a lie. ... I can give you arguments, you can't give me one argument to support you being better than me. I can give you arguments. ... Anywhere you go in the country, you gonna hear Kodak first."

He said that the "only thing" that Kendrick is better at than Kendrick is "play[ing] with words," which the other two refused to accept. "He can't make a better song... He don't got more hits," he continued, while the others highlighted that K Dot has a bigger chart presence and performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. "Kendrick ain't trash. Kendrick ain't nothing but Eminem, n***a. Okay, I hear your sales, but ain't nobody playing that shit."

In another clip from the podcast, Beasley also spoke negatively about Kendrick Lamar's scathing, chart-topping Drake diss, "Not Like Us."

"'Not Like Us'? Trash," he said, as seen in the clip below. "I'ma give you my opinion. You from the West Side, I'm from the East Side. Hear me out... It was a decent West Coast bop, right? You haven't heard the song since February." The other two said they've definitely heard it since then. "It was a cool song, but it wasn't cool enough for all the rest of the dick riders—most of the [people] saying it's a cool song are just mad at Drake," he said.
