In a since-deleted tweet on X, formerly Twitter, Nicki Minaj posted a gif of Chucky from the Child’s Play series alongside the caption, “Vance > Rants.” It’s not entirely clear what the tweet was referring to, or why she deleted it, but JD Vance caught wind of it and reposted it. “Nicki > Cardi,” Vance wrote, in a clear reference to the beef between the rappers.

Cardi B has been vocal about her dislike of the Trump administration, while Nicki has recently indicated that she’s a fan of the Republican president. Nicki even addressed members of the United Nations to discuss the claims of persecution of Christians in Nigeria. During her speech, she notably thanked Trump.

“I would like to thank President Donald Trump for prioritizing this issue, and for his leadership on the global stage, and calling for urgent action to defend Christians in Nigeria to combat extremism, and to bring a stop to violence against those who simply want to exercise their natural right to freedom of belief,” she said. “We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order to respect each other. We’re way beyond thinking or expecting or assuming the next person sitting next to you will have the same beliefs. We're beyond that. That’s ridiculous.”

After Minaj's speech, she shared a triumphant tweet. “United Nations was a MAGA Flex. Trump on da text. Yall should be afraid of what I’m gon do next,” she wrote, in a post that also took thinly-veiled shots at Jay-Z.

More recently, Minaj has reposted several tweets about the Trump administration, including one that alleged that Trump’s wife, Melania, underwent a kidney surgery in 2018. The tweet claimed that Trump postponed meetings to be with his wife, and sent her a “beautiful” letter. She also shared a video of Trump doing his signature clenched-fist dance and added, “Mood.”

Nicki also tweeted about Vance being "smarter than a computer."

Cardi B, meanwhile, has been an outspoken critic of the current administration. “Donald Trump was never for y’all poor motherfuckers,” she said during a recent live stream, in which she also criticized the administration for cutting $186 billion from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
