DJ Akademiks has shared his thoughts on Gucci Mane's new Pooh Shiesty diss track — you can listen to the track here.
During a recent stream, Akademiks took some time to react to "Crash Dummy," on which Guwop appears to break down the his alleged robbing and kidnapping at the hands of Shiesty.
"Forget everything I said," Akademiks told his viewers. "Remember, I said Gucci ain’t gonna make a statement? N***a, this a statement right here… Yo, Charleston White gotta step his snitching game up."
Wayno had a similar take on the track and suggested he had an issue with "Crash Dummy" because Gucci previously said that he would never snitch on anyone.
"This song… This n***a might as well got Usher on it and called it 'Confessions,'" Wayno said in the video below. "He’s detailing everything that happened. I don’t if I'd call it a diss record, a biopic, a documentary… I don’t give a fuck about Gucci Mane telling."
Taxstone also suggested that Gucci was a snitch and wildly tweeted, “Hopefully somebody kill Gucci Mane before trial.”
On the track, Gucci Mane appears to refer to many of the alleged details of the incident. "Tell the truth, you went out like a real crash dummy, and after all that, boy, you still signed to me," Gucci raps on the song. "I walk in the room, you can feel the pressure building / N***a dapped me up there, whole time they plotting against me."
Pooh Shiesty, who signed to Gucci’s 1017 Records in 2020, was arrested on April 1 alongside eight others, including his father and rapper Big30. They are all facing the possibility of life in prison if found guilty in the alleged Dallas kidnapping and robbery.
This week, a Dallas federal judge ruled that Pooh Shiesty must remain in custody after finding probable cause in a kidnapping and armed robbery case tied to allegations involving Gucci Mane.
