Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, who is accused of shooting at Rihanna's Los Angeles home, has reportedly been denied any contact with her child.
According to TMZ, a Florida judge ruled on Tuesday (April 21) that Ortiz will have zero contact with her child until further order of the court, with the only exception being if the child's father personally approves it.
The judge granted Jed Sangalang, the father of the child, 100 percent time-sharing, giving him full custody and control over the child's day-to-day life.
This situation did not begin with the alleged incident involving the ANTI singer. Ortiz had reportedly previously been placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in Florida. She said it was based on false accusations, but the judge still noted concerns.
Overall, the ruling came about as part of long-running legal proceedings with the child’s father, dating back to 2015.
Ortiz was arrested and booked in March 2026 for attempted murder after allegedly driving to Rihanna's Los Angeles property and firing multiple rounds. Law enforcement sources said Rihanna was home at the time with her three children.
Ortiz remains in custody without bond in California.
Ortiz is a speech-language pathologist based in Orlando, Florida who has reportedly been arrested at least twice before. Following her arrest last month, several of Ortiz’s past social media posts resurfaced, some of which showed her talking about Rihanna disparagingly.
According to the Associated Press, Ortiz pleaded not guilty to charges that included 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, one for each of the people on the two properties.
She was also charged with three counts of shooting at an occupied vehicle or dwelling for the trailer and the two neighboring homes.
If convicted on all charges, Ortiz could get life in prison.
