ASAP Rocky shared why he’s so smitten with his longtime love, Rihanna, in her new W Magazine cover story.
The 9-time Grammy winner appears on one of the covers with her 7-month-old daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, whom she shares with the Don’t Be Dumb rapper. The couple also share sons, RZA, 3, and Riot Rose, 2.
In it, Rocky said Rihanna “changed a lot because she became a mother” within the last few years, although she’s remained the same at her core.
“But this woman has always been magic,” he added. “Philosophically, the way she operates is on another level. She is the most charming and genuine person on Earth. Her energy is unmatched—one of a kind. I just adore her.”
Rocky explained that he and Rihanna share “so many of the same interests,” like being cinephiles while balancing their careers and lives as parents.
“We were addicted to watching documentaries, like the Bob Marley one,” he said. “Watching films together is so fun. We must’ve watched El Cantante 15 times.”
Private time for the couple is a necessity, especially while being two high-profile figures. In January, Rocky told Esquire that his “secret” to maintaining relationship happiness was being with his “match.”
"Not just when the cameras come on. And it's not easy being two high-profile [celebrities] and in a relationship together," Rocky said. “That can't be easy because one has one schedule and agenda, the other has another schedule and agenda. But we make it work. That's what I love about being with somebody like my girl."
