Fivio Foreign says he’s entering rehab.
In a video shared to his Instagram account on Wednesday (Dec. 31), the 35-year-old rapper announced his intention to make a “change” by admitting himself to a rehabilitation center “in the next couple of days.”
“I wanna let y'all know, with the help of my team, my wife, my family, my probation officer, and the people I've been talking to: I'm admitting myself into a rehab center in the next couple of days, for like a week or two,” the Brookyln rapper said.
He added, “I had to pay $10,000 to get into it. You know what I'm saying? I just feel like I'm at a point where, you know, I want to change, I wanna live, and I wanna stop making a lot of dumb decisions and a lot of dumb mistakes that I've been making.”
Fivio thanked viewers for supporting him throughout the years and noted that this effort is “serious.”
“I want y'all to support me and I want y'all to bow me through this journey,” he continued. “Now I'm saying I got my beautiful lifestyle and I don't want to lose that for nothing.”
Fivio did not specify what specific issues he would be seeking treatment for.
In a February 2024 interview with The Breakfast Club, Fivio was asked about his decision to slow down his drug use.
“I was on my ‘healthy Journey’ type of vibe,” he said at the time. “You got to tighten up, like, less drinking, less everything. So I just got like that, started drinking more water and shit. Before I never even drank water like that.”
He was also asked about a tweet where he wrote, “If yu want me to stop taking percs.. Give me something different to b addicted too ❤️🩹👀.”
“Nah, I was just trolling the bitches,” he explained, saying that those type of tweets usually go viral. “That's a little flirty joint ... so we can just fuck around.”
