Doja Cat is responding to criticism from fans over her new tour.
After kicking off her new Ma Vie World Tour in Auckland, New Zealand, on Tuesday (Nov. 18), the 30-year-old rapper responded to fans who complained about the show’s visuals, structure, and lack of outfit changes, particularly compared to her Scarlet Tour in 2023.
When one fan said the tour "just gives scarlet with different outfits," another hoped she would listen to criticism, to which Doja responded, "I won't and I don't need you."
Another fan questioned how a tour called "My Life" could have "no storyline, no visuals, no outfit changes." She answered, "Because I make music for people who enjoy music. I'm not a broadway act."
Doja added, "And I'm not your fucking costume monkey, I move at my own pace and break my fucking back out there every night so you can keep your bullshit opinion to yourself. You are not the artist you are the watcher."
“I hate that Doja is comfortable where she's at currently in her career we really not getting anymore smash hits,” wrote one user.
“You're such a little cunt go fuck yourself,” Doja responded.
“No outfit changes this era too...?” wrote another user.
“Who fucking cares I'm singing my MUSIC for the people who want to hear me SING. You're not even at the fucking show,” Doja wrote.
Another fan suggested, “No right ima need a costume change somewhere in there too like idk take the wig off halfway through or SOMETHING.”
The rapper responded, “Watch me not do any of these things :)”
Per a setlist of the show from Setlist FM, Doja performed many of her smash hits, including “Say So,” “Paint the Town Red,” and “Agora Hills.”
Doja’s tour is in support of her latest album Vie, which arrived in September and features the ‘80s-tinged single "Jealous Type.”
The North American leg of the tour will begin on Oct. 1, 2026 in Detroit before visiting a number of major cities including Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, and Miami. The tour wraps up in New York City on Dec. 1, 2026.
