Chris Brown is seemingly entering the chat following Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. Not long after the Puerto Rican superstar wrapped up his electrifying halftime performance, Brown shared some words to his Instagram Story.
“I THINK ITS SAFE TO SAY.. THEY NEED ME!” he wrote, along with a smirking emoji.
Brown seemingly had a different tune about the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2023.
As seen in a since-deleted exchange on Instagram, a fan asked the singer, “When are you [performing] at the Super Bowl we need you at the next one!!!”
Brown replied, “Never shawty.. American media AINT FA me. Rather be where I'm welcomed.”
In a November 2025 interview with Billboard, Brown’s longtime manager, Anthony “Ant” Wilson, shared he hopes that the “Residuals” singer will get the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl someday.
“I also think the Super Bowl would be a great place for him,” Wilson said at the time. “I believe it will happen.”
Despite his past controversies, namely his 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna, Brown has had growing support from fans and industry peers alike of seeing him perform on the world’s biggest stage.
“After seeing Usher I really think Jay-Z and them gotta get Chris Brown at halftime. Chris Brown would be nuts; that’s the next one to do it,” said Mase in a February 2024 episode of his Come And Talk 2 Me with Cam’ron, per That Grape Juice.
In a March 2025 interview, Ne-Yo told radio icon Big Boy that he believes Brown should get his chance to perform at halftime.
“To be honest, and with zero ego I say this: I feel like Chris [Brown] should get the next one definitely. And then I'll go after Chris,” he said near the 37-minute mark in the video linked here. “But Chris deserved that like now.”
Earlier this week, Boosie Badazz tweeted, “Do we need to campaign for Chris Brown to perform at a superbowl? So many years ive seen so many different artist perform [exclamation emoji] [fire emoji] No CB ? Not cool at all ,better yet #disrespectful u great n our eyes my g.”
