Bad Bunny Lists ‘Retired’ as Word to Describe His Future

He also dreams of eating Puerto Rican street food.

Bad Bunny seems to be floating the idea of stepping away from the limelight.

The topic came up on the Wednesday (Jan. 28) episode of The Late Show as the Puerto Rican star answered questions for Stephen Colbert’s “Questionert” segment

The segment was pre-recorded during the artist’s July 2025 appearance on the show.

At the three-minute, 18-second mark in the video above, the 31-year-old singer was asked to describe the rest of his life in five words. His answers were "happy," "retired," "eating," "tripletas" (a popular Puerto Rican street food sandwich), and "living in Puerto Rico."

The inclusion of “retired” suggested that while his career is still in full swing, he already imagines a future where he eventually steps away from music.

The segment aired as Bad Bunny prepares for his Super Bowl LX halftime show on Feb. 8.

While details of the performance remain under wraps, rumors claiming he would wear a dress were shut down by production sources.

The Latin trap artist’s selection as the halftime headliner has drawn backlash from some conservative groups, including Turning Point USA, which responded by promising an alternative show celebrating “faith, family, and freedom.” No names nor further details about the performance have been announced.

Bad Bunny has largely brushed off the controversy and poked fun at the criticism by joking on Saturday Night Live that viewers had plenty of time to learn Spanish so they could sing along.

Although President Donald Trump’s administration previously threatened that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would attend the Super Bowl, a source told TMZ that there are no plans for ICE to be onsite at Levi’s Stadium nor at NFL-sponsored events in the Bay Area in the days leading up to the big game in Santa Clara, California.

However, the outlet said, numerous federal law enforcement agencies such as the FBI will be on the ground to provide security.
