Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have a lot to celebrate. On Tuesday, the Grammy-winning musician and Kansas City Chiefs tight end announced their engagement. While a wedding date isn’t set yet, fans know they can look forward to Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl this fall — and no one is more excited about it than Kelce.

In a teaser for the August 27 episode of the New Heights podcast — which Travis co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce — the newly engaged athlete celebrated his and Swift’s major relationship milestone. He also teased The Life of a Showgirl to the show's listeners.

At the time of writing, Swift has not released a single from The Life of a Showgirl and fans have been eager to hear her new music. Travis joked that he was “going to go ahead and keep poking the bear to all the Swifties” and revealed that he’s “been dancing all throughout the house” to the new album.

Swift’s most recent albums — The Tortured Poets Department, Midnights, Evermore, and Folklore — have featured producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner at the helm of the sounds. But for The Life of a Showgirl, Swift reunited with producers Max Martin and Shellback, with whom she also worked on her pop records Red, 1989, and Reputation.

Elsewhere in the clip, Travis offered a description of the album’s sonics. “I keep listening to this album, and I know she mentioned that it’s gonna be a lot more pop beats and everything,” Kelce said, noting that “it’s still so poetic.”

“Her melodies and her references and stuff; it’s so much fun to listen to,” Travis said.

When Jason asked if Travis had a favorite song, he had an answer prepared. “I think ‘Opalite’ might be my favorite, at least right now.”

Fans can look forward to hearing The Life of a Showgirl on Friday, Oct. 3. In the meantime, congratulations are in order for the happy couple.
