Taylor Swift's engagement to Travis Kelce sent shockwaves through the music world—but also had an impact on the world of fashion.

Swift announced August 26 that she and the Kansas City Chiefs star were engaged, sharing photos of the two in an embrace and showing off her massive new engagement ring. She captioned the announcement, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

Hawk-eyed Swifties were able to quickly recognize the dress Swift was wearing in her engagement photos—tracking it down as a piece from Ralph Lauren.

The Ralph Lauren striped-silk blend dress had an original retail price of $398, but appeared to have been recently discounted to $319.99.

The Ralph Lauren website describes the dress as, "Crafted with a mulberry silk blend for an airy, crinkled hand, this striped dress pairs a smocked bodice and a flowing A-line skirt. The slender shoulder straps can be adjusted or removed for customized versatility."

Bad news for any fans trying to get their hands on the dress though, as it completely sold out of all sizes within minutes of Swift's engagement announcement.

The news of Swift and Kelce's big life change sent Swifites into a frenzy, with many flocking social media to post wild videos of their reactions just seconds after he posted to Instagram.

One user said she was more excited for the singer's engagement than her own. Another bashed anyone who might have thought Swift and Kelce's engagement was just a press stunt.

Swift and Kelce also broke the record books August 26 when Guinness World Records announced the singer's appearance on the New Heights podcast broke the record for for most concurrent views for a podcast on YouTube with 1.3 million concurrent views.

It's currently unclear when and where the pair will tie the knot—as Kelce is about to start another season with Kansas City.
