There’s a boom in escorts who are making serious bank thanks in large part to their ability to have fluent conversations about technology and other Silicon Valley pursuits.

A new report from Forbes details an increase in female sex workers, some of whom charge as much as $6,000 per hour, who are skilled in discussing AI, cryptocurrency and other hot button futurist issues as part of the time they spend with their clients. The escorts are considered to have what one woman interviewed by Forbes called a “nerd-first” approach, which is an ability to fulfill the conversational needs of their customers.

One woman, who used the pseudonym Ada Hopper, shared that she posts about AI on social media, which interests some men that follow her. “You’ll have random Nvidia bros who are like, ‘What? You know what a GPU is? Oh my God, wow,’” she told Forbes.

The differences in hourly rates were also detailed, with Hopper sharing that escorts who charge the “highest” are considered the “hottest girls.”

With AI entrepreneurs making bank in stock and startup growth, the desire for connection with “nerd-first” escorts stems from seeking companionship that the impersonality of dating apps and AI chatbots lack.

As another sex worker explained, with one tech client, there was “some sex in between,” but the overnight date was mostly reserved for “playful, nice conversation.”

A third escort, named Charlie Levine, predicted that “authentic human connection” will become a “rarity” as AI continues its takeover. “In the future, being able to afford human contact, and to afford settings where there is genuine human contact, will be the ultimate luxury,” Levine said.
