A video of a Cinnabon employee lobbing racist slurs at a Somali couple has gone viral.

Now, at the time of this writing, supporters have raised over $137,000 on GiveSendGo for her after she was fired. Newsweek reports that the incident happened over the weekend at an Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin Cinnabon location when the ex-employee, Crystal Wilsey, repeated racial slurs at the customers and confessed to being racist in a video.

The GiveSendGo donation page for Wilsey was created by a person named Tom Hennessey, who calls Wilsey a “hardworking White mom doing her job at Cinnabon,” adding that, “Two Somali customers decide to make her shift hell with intimidation.”

The description continued, "Instead of banning the offenders and backing their employee, Cinnabon fires Crystal to keep the nons happy. We’re not letting this slide. Funds go to making sure Crystal lands on her feet after this betrayal. No White person should lose their job for refusing to be harassed by Somalians."

Cinnabon issued a response on X.

"We’ve seen the disturbing video from the Cinnabon bakery in Ashwaubenon, WI, and we do not condone this behavior," the official Cinnabon account tweeted. "The former employee was immediately terminated by the franchise owner. Their actions do not reflect our values or the welcoming experience every guest deserves."
