We are less than one week away from the start of the 2026 NBA Finals as the New York Knicks await the winner of the Western Conference Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder. The Spurs will host the Thunder in Game 6 tonight. OKC is up 3-2 in the best-of-seven series and can punch its ticket to the Finals with a victory tonight.

The Spurs are a -3.5 betting favorite for Game 6 at Fanatics Sportsbook. Below, we will dish out a betting preview of tonight’s showdown.

Game 6: Thunder at Spurs

  • Series score: Thunder lead 3-2
  • Start time/TV: 8:30 p.m. ET/NBC & Peacock
  • Point spread: Spurs -3.5
  • Moneyline: Thunder (+125) at Spurs (-150)
  • Total: Over +220.0 (-110)/Under +220.0 (-110)

If the Thunder can win a second game in San Antonio in this series, they will advance to the NBA Finals to play the Knicks. OKC won Game 3 of the WCF in South Texas, 123-108. The Spurs rebounded to grab Game 4 at Frost Bank Center, 103-82.

In the most recent clash, OKC used a 69-point first half to come away with a 127-114 Game 5 victory. A big talking point after Game 5 was the fact that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander went to the free-throw line 17 times.

When SGA has gone to the line a boatload of times in one game during the NBA Playoffs, there has typically been something of a market correction in the following game.

In Game 3 of this series against San Antonio, the MVP went to the line 12 times. The next game he went to the charity stripe just 7 times.

In Game 1 of OKC’s first-round series against the Suns, SGA went to the line 17 times. The next game he went to the line just 9 times.

Going back to last year’s Finals against Indiana, he went to the line 12 times in Game 2 and just 6 times in Game 3. He went to the line 14 times in Game 5 and just 8 times in Game 6.

The Thunder have lost only twice in this entire postseason (both in this series vs. the Spurs), but for what it’s worth, SGA went to the FT line just 9 times in their WCF Game 1 loss, and just 7 times in their WCF Game 4 loss.

This is the third time in the series that the Spurs have been favored. They were -2.5 favorites in Game 3 and lost, 123-108. They were -2.5 favorites again for Game 4 and covered the spread with a 103-82 win.

The Spurs are now 10-6 against the spread in the playoffs. OKC is 8-5 ATS in the postseason thus far.

The Game 6 total has been set at 220.0 by Fanatics.

This series has been kind to Over bettors thus far, as games have gone Over the number in four out of five games. The 220.0 total is the highest number yet in this year’s WCF.

As for player props for Game 6, SGA’s points O/U is 29.5 at Fanatics with juice on the Under. Victor Wembanyama’s points O/U for tonight’s affair is 27.5.
