As of late, Converse and the newly minted 2026 NBA MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, have been introducing premium executions for his Shai 001 for the playoffs, and that doesn’t appear to be stopping any time soon.
Next up for his Converse signature shoe is a snakeskin-covered colorway dubbed “Slither.” The entirety of the upper features a leather construction that’s designed to look like snakeskin, which the brand says is inspired by how Shai’s game can adapt on the court. The print also reaches onto the tongue as well as on the heel counter. Breaking up the look is a tonal rubber outsole.
