It almost feels inevitable that Nike will eventually give Victor Wembanyama his own Nike signature shoe. Until then, the Swoosh has plenty of special colorways lined up for the NBA’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year, including a new GT Cut 4.
The SNKRS launch calendar confirms that Wemby’s new GT Cut 4 colorway (style code: IU1960-001) will hit retail later this month. The pair features a gold cheetah print on the upper, which the brand says is a nod to his cat-like reflexes and his defense. The rest of the upper sports a black color blocking, with red Swoosh logos on the medial side and towards the heel of the ZoomX-cushioned midsole. Replacing Wemby’s alien logo is his initials stamped on the heel of the left shoe.
The “Victor Wembayama” Nike GT Cut 4 will be released on May 20 via SNKRS for $210.
