It’s been a wild 48 hours in the NBA as a former MVP was traded, the NBA Draft went down, and trade rumors continue to fly. Some teams saw their 2027 NBA title odds fluctuate as a result of the chaos.

Three of the top title contenders for next season did not budge on the Fanatics odds board, as the favored Thunder still sit at +240, the Spurs remain at +260, and the Knicks hold firm at +750.

Here is a look at several notable teams and where their odds currently stand.

Miami Heat (+1700)
The Heat obviously moved the most on the board thanks to their acquisition of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Pat Riley shipped Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, and multiple picks to Milwaukee in exchange for the Greek Freak.

On Monday afternoon, hours before the blockbuster trade, the Heat had +4000 odds at Fanatics to win the 2027 NBA title. By Wednesday morning, those odds had moved to +1700. Only the Thunder, Spurs, Celtics, and Knicks have shorter odds to win it all.

Prior to the trade, 10 teams had shorter odds than the Heat to capture the championship, including the likes of the Pistons (+3000), Lakers (+3000), and Timberwolves (+3000).

Boston Celtics (+475)
The Celtics are currently in a tricky situation as they pushed extremely hard to trade Jaylen Brown to Milwaukee in exchange for Giannis. Now, Brown remains in Boston … awkward!

Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens seemingly attempted some damage control Tuesday night in his draft availability with the media.

“Jaylen Brown is a big part of us,” Stevens said. “I’m never going to predict the future. Every indication, everything I think about over the last few years, has been building around those guys. You never know. But at the same time, the one thing I want to make very clear is how valued he’s always been. He’s been amazing. He’s been an amazing teammate and a great person to be around.”

The Celtics’ 2027 title odds have curiously improved over the past 48 hours despite missing out on Giannis. Boston was +550 to win it all on Monday afternoon, but the C’s are now +475. Only the Thunder and Spurs have a shorter number.

LA Lakers (+3000)
The Lakers’ title odds for 2027 have not budged since Monday, but that will surely change over the next few weeks. Rob Pelinka has a ton of decisions to make regarding the Laker futures of LeBron James, Austin Reaves, Marcus Smart, and Rui Hachimura.

The LA roster could look drastically different by the time the season opens in October, so these odds could see some major fluctuation.

Washington Wizards (+15000)
Things are on the upswing for the first time in eons in D.C.. The Wizards selected AJ Dybantsa with the No. 1 overall pick Tuesday night. Washington also agreed to a new contract with Trae Young, after it briefly appeared that he might be leaving the organization in free agency.

Despite the optimism, the Wizards’ title odds remain the same as they were Monday.

Milwaukee Bucks (+25000)
It’ll be the Tyler Herro show in Milwaukee moving forward, as the Wisconsin native was the key piece moving to the Bucks in the Giannis deal. The Bucks also made two first round selections in Tuesday’s NBA Draft, as they selected Arizona guard Brayden Burries at No. 10, and Tennessee forward Nate Ament, at No. 13.

None of those transactions moved the needle on the Fanatics odds board, however, as the Bucks still sit with +25000 odds to win it all in 2027. Only the Grizzlies (+50000), Bulls (+70000), and Kings (+100000) have longer odds.
