KFC Releases Pickle-Filled Puffer Jacket Inspired by Viral AI Video

The bizarre fashion idea was created to help promote a new pickle-themed special menu in the UK.

KFC's latest release isn't a new flavor of chicken — it's actually a puffer jacket filled with pickles.

The fast-food chain has unveiled a gherkin-filled puffer jacket to promote KFC UK's new pickle menu, which includes novelty items like Pickle Loaded Fries and Pickle Pepsi.

The puffer consists of a clear plastic outer layer with pickles and green brine right beneath the surface. You can check out pics below.

KFC reportedly found the inspiration to create the jacket after seeing an AI-generated video of a man giving people sliced gherkins from his own pickle-filled jacket.

Since the brand often serves pickles with its chicken and is currently advertising a special pickle menu, the company believed it was only right to bring the jacket into reality.

"It's a bit unhinged, but that’s the point," KFC UK & Ireland brand manager James Channon said in a statement. "Only KFC would wrap a jacket in real pickle juice and sliced pickles, giving fans a wearable, drinkable tribute to their obsession."

Major companies have really been digging into making fashion as wild as possible as of late with limited edition items.

In October, Aldi released a potato puffer that literally resembles a giant baked potato. The jacket, made in partnership with London fashion brand Agro Studio, includes a brown exterior with potato-like features and fluffy white fleece lining on the inside.

Lidl also got into the fun with a one-of-a-kind 'trolley' bag, designed as a "twist on the everyday food shop experience." The unique-looking bag literally looks like a Lidl shopping cart.

Crafted from industrial stainless steel, the bag features Lidl’s instantly recognizable yellow and blue shopping cart handle, hooked onto a sleek metal-bar frame. It also comes complete with a detachable chain strap, a trolley coin fob, and a dust bag
