The latest iteration of Prada Mode, the Italian fashion house’s members’ club-style cultural gathering series, is set for this month at the Hotel Chelsea in New York City.
Titled Satellites II, this edition, per press notes, is designed to serve as an extension of Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn and Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima’s Satellites exhibition, previously presented at Prada Aoyama Tokyo last summer.
Visitors can expect a “spatial narrative” spanning multiple areas of the hotel, with select rooms being transformed into “micro television studios” during the private exhibition period of the five-day staging. During the subsequent public access period, the rooms will become art installations, with each component of this unique experience driving home the spirit of connection and friendship at the core of the two artists’ work.
Prada Mode New York launches its private members club window on June 3, followed by the general public opening on June 5. All told, the experience will run through June 7, with additional information available here.
This marks the fourteenth iteration of the ongoing Prada Mode series. Past locales have included Miami, London, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Osaka, and more.
