How Prada Helped Sean MacCormac Make Skysurfing History in San Francisco

Sean MacCormac just made history in San Francisco.

A nice slice of skysurfing history has been carved out with some help from Prada.

Indeed, Prada Linea Rossa collaborated with Red Bull-backed athlete and X Games medalist Sean MacCormac for an ultimately successful effort to make history atop the cables of the San Francisco Bay Bridge. In Sean’s own words, the feat—which makes him the first person to ever land on the Bay Bridge cables—marks both a “once-in-a-lifetime moment” and “a dream” brought to life.

“In my profession, I have the benefit of seeing some of the world’s most amazing architecture from different perspectives, and I’ve often found myself daydreaming about what might be possible,” MacCormac said in a statement shared with Complex. “To be able to slide along the cables of the iconic Bay Bridge brings this vision to life.”

The board at the center of this mindbogglingly daring journey, as seen in the video up top, was made as part of a larger collaboration between Prada Linea Rossa and the Luna Rossa team.

For those familiar with Sean’s trajectory, the Bay Bridge history-maker fits nicely into his extensive roster of physics-defying accomplishments. Still, that doesn’t take away from this particular jump’s specialness.

“It’s incredible being part of the full team effort to make this project a reality, from the collaboration with Prada Linea Rossa and board design with the Luna Rossa team to the countless hours of training, repetition, and preparation that made us ready for this moment,” MacCormac said.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
