As frequent readers will note, the NIGO-designed Mercedes-Benz Project G-Class Past II Future was first unveiled as a one-off art piece as part of a larger collection at Moncler’s SoHo store earlier this year.
“I always refer to the past,” NIGO said at the time. “In Japan, there is a saying that goes, ‘Learn from the past to create something new.’”
Shortly after, Mattel Creations revealed it was offering a Hot Wheels 1:64 scale die-cast replica of the uniquely remixed vehicle. Key details of the replica include an acrylic display case, custom Real Riders wheels, and a removable hardtop.
